First Day of School

Wednesday, September 8, 2010
Meghan 6th grade, Evan 3rd grade, Tressa kindergarten!!

And to add to the excitement...
When I woke Tressa this morning I noticed she was missing a tooth!  Her first!  She was shocked!  I called to Craig and he said that her mouth did bleed the night before when he brushed her teeth.  So we're guessing he brushed that tooth right out and down the drain without either of them noticing.

Tressa is the Personification of Cuteness

Define "fuel efficient"

I admit, when we pulled in to this Maryland rest area and saw the special "fuel efficient" parking lunacy, we added it to our list of reasons why we will NEVER live in Maryland.  Seriously, the hybrids get better parking than the handicappeds!

But then - GASP! - the unthinkable happened!  A conversion van pulled in to one of the special "fuel efficient" parking spots!  This scofflaw gave us a good chuckle.  Such bold flouting of greenie-nonsense should be applauded!

Tressa Never Saw It Coming

...but Meghan did.

"OH NO!  Here we go!"
And the front of the tube sank, causing the girls to plummet headlong into the lake!
Swimming back to the boat... Tressa sporting the "drenched-puppy" look.

When It's 100 Degrees (and every other summer day)

This is the best summer toy EVER for the preschool crowd:
We have this water table on the deck and inside a screened canopy.  The little ones stay cool, shaded, and entertained for an hour or so.  I go about my business inside where it's a comfy 78 degrees.  Ahhhhh.  Yesterday I brought out the shampoo and showered the little monkeys on the deck with the hose.  It was THAT hot that the cool hose water felt good on their stinky little heads.
