"In your face, Hayden!"  (evil laugh)

Define "fuel efficient"

I admit, when we pulled in to this Maryland rest area and saw the special "fuel efficient" parking lunacy, we added it to our list of reasons why we will NEVER live in Maryland.  Seriously, the hybrids get better parking than the handicappeds!

But then - GASP! - the unthinkable happened!  A conversion van pulled in to one of the special "fuel efficient" parking spots!  This scofflaw gave us a good chuckle.  Such bold flouting of greenie-nonsense should be applauded!

SCREECH!!

"Screech" is the Nats' mascot

Evan and Craig had 3rd row seats behind home plate.  I got to see them on TV every time the camera was on the batter.  Craig called me:  "can you see us waving?"  And about 10 seconds later I did!  (There was a delay on TV.)  I also got to see them pigging out on all the free food that was included in the ticket price.  I saw Evan eating ice cream TWICE.

Busted!

Really, why do I bother with bread?  I should just give him a spoonful of peanut butter and a spoonful of jelly!

Strawberry Enthusiast

When it comes to strawberries, Hayden just has no self-restraint.  No boundaries.  Last month he grabbed this brand new package of strawbs off the counter and started eating them.  Unwashed.  (GASP!)  But it gets worse... this morning at the grocery store he turned around in the cart, seized the package of strawbs, opened them, and before I could stop him, HE SCARFED ONE-- STEM AND ALL!  Seriously inappropriate, not to mention unsightly.

Hayden's Room

Behind the rocker... Hayden's secret hide-out.

Hayden sleeps better with Ringmaster Pablo on the crib waving at him.  Notice the wallpaper ripped off the wall behind the crib.  Horrifying, I know.  ALL of my other three children have slept in this crib in this corner without ever daring to rip the wallpaper from the wall.  Hayden, different beast.  My mom tells me I did this too as a baby -- only it was twice as horrifying because it was at someone else's house!

Cute Boys

Here's the curious little dude digging through Meghan's valentines.

Evan just finished his first season playing basketball. It was a great program and we all loved it.
